We’ve recently revisited our main umbrella supplier in beautiful Yorkshire. The entire complex is carbon neutral. It’s run on a combination of solar, wind and hydro energy which is all captured on site. As if that wasn’t ‘green’ enough, we also received a sample of the umbrella with a canopy spun from around 60 recycled PET plastic bottles. We were able to study how designs are transferred to canopy by UV, Soft Feel and Silk Screen printing methods as well as the sewing process to create the bespoke finished product.
